The rental crisis in Australia remains a “landlord’s market” as finding an empty lease in the capital cities is like looking for a needle in a haystack, says Domain Chief of Research and Economics Nicola Powell. “When you look at our cities like Sydney and Melbourne – to get them into a balanced market we would need to see today between 5,000 and 10,000 additional rentals being added,” Ms Powell told Sky News Australia.
