Treasurer Jim Chalmers considers Medicare changes the “centerpiece" of the budget, announcing an increase to the bulk-billing incentive on Tuesday, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. "On Medicare, the government says it is ‘delivering the largest increase to the bulk-billing incentive ever’,” Mr Clennell said. “That is $3.5 billion to help GPs provide free consultations to around 11.6 million eligible Australians.”
