Perrottet blasts Labor and banks while defending his Treasurer

The New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has defended his Treasurer's mid-year budget review after Matt Kean revealed a significant deterioration of government finances from earlier forecasts. “You cannot risk a Labor Government in New South Wales because we know what a Labor government does – lifting the cap on expenses will blow the budget,” Mr Perrottet said at a media conference on Wednesday. Mr Perrottet also had stern words for the big four banks. “They are very fast to pass on interest rate rises but they are very slow to pass on interest rate cuts. “This is a difficult economic time for families across New South Wales – we stand with families, so should the banks.”
