Associate Editor at The Australian Graham Lloyd says the government is “hoping” anger over soaring inflation rates is “directed towards” Philip Lowe following the RBA Governor’s public grilling at the Senate Estimates meeting last week. “He gave a message to government that look, this is a joint enterprise,” Mr Lloyd told Sky News Australia. “And there needs to be some discipline from the government in a budget sense to stop things getting out of hand. “There’s a bit of a good cop bad cop routine going on between the RBA and the government, but they’ll need to get on the same page.”
