Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reaffirmed his government's commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 amid division within the Coalition. The LNP candiate for the Queensland seat of Flynn Colin Boyce says Australia's climate target which was committed to at the Glasgow Climate Summit last year is flexible, insisting there is "wiggle room". Those comments have been backed up by his Nationals Party colleague Matt Canavan but Mr Morrison says the target “absolutely” remains the government’s policy.
