US sharemarkets rebounded on Thursday, following back-to-back session losses as investors reassessed the US Federal Reserve's plans to tighten monetary policy to combat high inflation. The Dow Jones index rose by 87 points or 0.3% after being down 306 points earlier in the session. The S&P 500 index gained 0.4% and the Nasdaq index added 8 points or 0.1%.
