Global investors are waiting to see if indebted Chinese property developer Evergrande will make its latest loan repayment. The $50 million interest payment was due yesterday but is it unclear if the deadline was Wednesday in the United States, allowing the company a few more hours to pay. Evergrande is listed on the Hong Kong stock market but the developer has provided no update to the market for the last two days around this payment. This loan is a small fraction of the $305 billion Evergrande owes.
