Small Business Women Australia CEO Amanda Rose says lots of small businesses are “leaving the market” due to cost restraints. Ms Rose sat down with Sky News Australia to discuss the troubles small businesses are still facing into the new year. “I predicted that we’re going to have a lot more unemployment because small businesses can’t afford it,” she said. “But also, it’s drying up within people starting small business – and even looking at the ones that are currently running, 43 per cent of them aren’t making a profit. “So they’re on the chopping board essentially moving forward if things keep getting tighter and harder, and they are.”
