Lawmakers in the United States are looking to pass laws to regulate the emerging technology. This is an attempt to reduce the potential consequences of AI generated images. Facebook and Instagram have announced for the 2024 US Presidential election, they will require political advertisements on their platform to disclose if they were generated using AI. Lawmakers are also concerned about AI generated pornography, with prosecutors in all 50 states urging Congress to pass federal laws to safeguard children.
