Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood sat down with ACCC Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb to discuss the ACCC and its role in competition in different work industries. Ms Cass-Gottlieb says the ACCC monitors when they have either a “regulatory monitoring role” or are looking due to their “core responsibility to protect consumers and to ensure there is competition occurring”. “We’re taking account in order to ensure that the conditions deliver workably competitive markets,” Ms Cass-Gottlieb told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. “And new entrants such as Rex and Bonza are able to access slots, airports services in monopoly airports – in order to compete. “What is before us is ensuring good consumer outcomes and competitive outcomes that also deliver good consumer outcomes.”
