Suki Hairdressers Managing Director Sandy Chong questions how younger businesses already facing challenges with inflation can afford a wage rise. “In a skills shortage, I guess the better businesses are forced to pay higher,” Ms Chong told Sky News Australia. “But I look at the younger businesses paying the award wage, and this hike is quite substantial. “How can they afford this wage rise?”
