New South Wales families are struggling to deal with power prices as the state sees a nearly 50 per cent jump in official complaints about the size of utility bills in the first quarter of the year. The Salvation Army is also reporting a 20 per cent increase in requests for energy and food vouchers in the past six months. New South Wales households will be in line to receive a $500 rebate on energy bills before the end of the year to help deal with inflationary pressures.
