Mortgage owners are being warned that another rate rise in May looks incredibly likely. Economists say yesterday's unexpectedly strong employment gains have done little to cool the economy. The unemployment rate remains steady at 3.5 per cent - after 53,000 people found work last month - bypassing forecasts of 20,000.
