It could soon be illegal for landlords to kick tenants out of their homes at the end of their lease without a valid or legal reason in a major win for NSW renters. If the Coalition is re-elected, undercover officers will also attend home inspections to crack down on agents encouraging bidding wars. NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says the new measures will make a “real difference” during a challenging time in the state’s housing market.
