Senior officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet have raised concerns over the government's security review into TikTok, saying it could raise possible diplomatic risks to Australia. The senior officials warned that the review into the social media app could be interpreted as targeting Chinese businesses. While other countries have moved to implement government bans on TikTok, the Prime Minister's office has been advised to take an "agnostic approach".
