The week in Federal politics has been dominated by the fight over Labor's proposed tax hike for multi-million-dollar superannuation balances. The Opposition leader is accusing the Defence Minister Richard Marles of not being across the finer details, asking if Mr Marles could not explain the policy to media on Friday, then “how on earth” could Australians be expected to understand it. Mr Marles countered by pointing out the Dutton Opposition wanting to “storm the Bastille” for the top earning half a per cent of Australians, shows the public “everything about his priorities”.
