Drastic emissions target ‘extends the pain’ onto industrial sector

The Australian’s Environment Editor Graham Lloyd says Labor’s plan to cut further emissions will “extend the pain” from electricity generators to “other sections of industry”. “That includes the gas producers, coal producers, aluminium makers, steel producers,” Mr Lloyd told Sky News host Caleb Bond. “The cost impact that we’ve seen on electricity is about to be shunted onto the industrial sector as well.”
