Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe has challenged the Albanese government to make workplaces more flexible and productive as the economic outlook becomes increasingly gloomy. Mr Lowe delivered a speech in Melbourne on Tuesday night, saying Australia would be better off if the country had a more flexible labour market. The Governor also commented on the renewable energy transition, saying it will probably spark higher energy prices in the year ahead.
