Over five million Australians are set to receive the largest increase to their welfare payments in three decades. Welfare payments are indexed twice a year to keep up with the changing cost of living. Recipients receiving an increase include those on pensions, disability, JobSeeker, parenting, ABSTUDY and rent assistance payments.
