Snowy Hydro chief executive Paul Broad has resigned following revelations the project is $2.2 billion over budget. Mr Broad’s sudden departure comes at the halfway point of construction, which is now 18 months behind schedule. Energy Minister Chris Bowen thanked the CEO for ten years of running the project. Future Generation – the main contractor of Snowy Hydro – is now in negotiations with the federal government over a revised budget and timeline.
