Australia ‘off with the fairies’ moving to renewables

Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes says Australia seems to be the only country “determined” to give itself an “economic disadvantage” by not producing cheap, reliable base-load power. “Renewables do not exist in a transmissible form that can deliver that kind of energy – regardless of what anyone says,” she told Sky News Australia. “You can say it all you like, the technology doesn’t exist. “We need to live in the real world – not off with the fairies and pixie dust and what might be available in the future.”
