The Electrical Trades Union will seek a six per cent pay increase for power and commercial construction workers – despite being warned such wage increases will further fuel inflation. Acting National Secretary of the Electrical Trades Union Michael Wright said wages need to keep pace with the rising cost of living. Mr Wright added the union was willing to consider incorporating a stipulation in which lower increases could be imposed if inflation were to fall.
