Homes and businesses across the country are in for a shock – as the national regulator flags price rises of up to 18 per cent from July. New South Wales customers will have to pay between $119 and $227 dollars more on their power bills next financial year. Parts of Queenslanders will pay an extra $165 dollars, while South Australians will pay $124 dollars more – depending on usage. The Albanese Government says its answer is to transform the energy grid to 82 per cent renewables by the end of the decade.
