Dr Mahendra Samarawickrama is the winner of the 2022 ICT Professional of the Year ACS Digital Disrupter Award. Dr Samarawickrama is senior leader in the AI and data science sector who has been working with the Australian Red Cross to “bring diversity, equity and inclusion” to the certain technologies. “This is a monumental milestone for my company, and for me - my team also became a finalist in this award, so I’m really proud,” he said.
