Retailers are calling on the government to further ease COVID-19 isolation rules at today's National Cabinet meeting. Leaders are set to meet this afternoon to discuss their response to the possible peak of the Omicron wave. Industry leaders are asking for isolation exemptions to be expanded to include all retail, warehousing and distribution centre workers as they continue to struggle with staff shortages. Rules have already been eased for workers in transport, emergency services, teaching, childcare and non-public facing healthcare.
