The New South Wales government is considering handing out free rapid antigen tests to more residents across the state. Options being considered are allowing parents access to the kits at their child's school or using the Dine and Discover voucher system to distribute them at pharmacies. The state government’s stockpile of 100 million tests will primarily be used for critical services but early plans are in the works to offer supply to the public. Premier Dominic Perrottet told The Daily Telegraph this year will see families have rapid antigen tests sitting in the cupboard. He also revealed he's discussing an economic support package to soften the blow of the Omicron outbreak which has sent hundreds of thousands of people into quarantine.
