The innovation and sustainability of some of Australia's top vineyards are being recognised in the 2021 Vineyard of the Year Awards. A field of 6000 grape growers across the nation has been narrowed to 50 finalists. Retallack Viticulture's Dr Mary Retallack, who was one of the judges for the awards, says she is excited about the regenerative and ecological practices when it comes to the future of the wine industry. “This has happened so quickly, and we’re really well placed to share these insights and stories with our customers,” Dr Retallack told Sky News Australia. “So, the Vineyard of the Year finalists are leading the way, and the future of wine growing, I think, is truly exciting.”
