Sky News host Rowan Dean says there is a “global energy crisis occurring” as the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow gets underway. “Particularly in Britain, they’ve got empty shelves, they’ve got prices spiralling out of control, they’ve got the threat of blackouts,” he said. Mr Dean pointed out net zero and climate changes policies have the greatest impact on the poor, the self-employed, tradies and small business owners. “And of course, all those blue-collar workers who are thrown on the scrap heap by the likes of Barnaby Joyce and the Nationals and the Liberal Party,” he said. “It’s those jobs in fossil fuel industries that are just being dumped on the scrap heap.”
