Herald Sun journalist Caleb Bond says “we’re laughing our way to the bank” when it comes to booming coal exports. The Australian Financial Review is reporting Australia’s resource exports are heading for a record $349 billion due to soaring gas and coal prices. “I love it so much,” he said. “Here we are in Australia, we can’t burn a piece of coal for fear of destroying the entire planet and meanwhile we are more than happy to send it offshore so other countries can burn it.”
